I need to know how to change the timing belt on a 84 ford econovan?

What engine is in the van. If you have an in line 6 than it has timing gears. if you have a v8 than it has a chain. I recomend you have a mechanic do it. But if you think you can handle it than I would recomend that you go to your local library and loook to see if they have a chilton manual or go to borders or barnes and nobles and buy one.I need to know how to change the timing belt on a 84 ford econovan?remove the old one then put in the new one. simple
