How hard is it to change a timing belt on a 94 cavalier?

Replacing the timing belt on a 1994 Calvalier is not to difficult if you have experience with timing belt replacment. If this is your first time doing this you will need to make sure you have the following tools.



Chain wrench

1/2 breaker bar

metric wrenches

floor jack



The chain wrench is used to hold the Crank Shaft pulley in place so that you can undo the bolt that retains the pulley.

Make sure you line up the crank pulley with the 0 timing mark before dissambley. Then remove the belt or belts then the motor mount and the timing cover.
